iverside Conservancy, in Woodbridge, VA, is a
424-unit townhome and condominium community
that features amenities like a fitness center, pool,
dog park, and playground.
Riverside Conservancy recently won the 2020 Associa
Green Award for its exceptional environmental efforts.
The prestigious award recognizes Associa-managed
communities that foster green living through six categories:
energy efficiency, green building, efficient water use,
trees and green space, recycling and waste reduction,
and education and innovation. Associa Green received
many remarkable applications, but Riverside Conservancy
stood out by going above and beyond with its innovative
and sustainable lifestyle solutions. Latest projects include
the installation of solar-powered streetlights, elimination
of plastic cups in the fitness center, implementation of an
electric vehicle charging station, and creation of a Little
Free Library constructed with eco-friendly plastic and 95%
recycled materials.
The community's leaders are also committed to educating
residents about the impact of going green. They regularly
host guest speakers to encourage recycling and waste
reduction and facilitate cleanup events to clear litter
from the neighborhood and stormwater retention
pond. Riverside Conservancy's owners demonstrate
an unwavering dedication to the environment focus by
continuing efforts to help the planet and community.
