Editor's Letter
e've endured a lot of change lately, and it's
been tough for all of us. Change is hard;
however, one thing I've learned
throughout the years is that life is all about
embracing change.
At a young age, my father taught me that without
change, you can never grow or improve. He
encouraged my siblings and me to not only
welcome change, but when we experience it, to
also make the most of the situation and learn from
it. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"
was a phrase we heard quite oen.
is past year, we weren't just handed one lemon;
we got a whole basket of them. Day aer day,
it became increasingly clear that change was
inevitable, and how we chose to respond was up
to us. Going through this dicult situation would
test our abilities to learn from the challenges we
faced. rough change came growth, and through
growth came improvement.
And that's what this issue all about—improvement.
In the coming pages, you'll discover how to
improve relationships with your neighbors
during hard times (P. 28), improve yourself with
joyful movement (P. 6), improve your home with
technology (P. 16), improve your morning cup of
coee (P. 14), and so much more.
Amid all the changes in the world right now, I'm
so glad you've chosen to spend time with all of us
at Coming Home. I hope this issue inspires you to
embrace change, make some improvements, and
maybe mix up a sweet glass of lemonade, too.
