All its markings and sacred speckles, its perseverance and tenacity for survival.
It goes on and on, unrelenting, but resting at each mural because it's
been assigned to dwell with the universe.
And during its orbit, there was fire mixed with ice birthing flames filled with
turbulent wind, but not strong enough to stop the endurance within.
Perhaps, that's how gratitude feels after the storm, heavy, but sweet like nectar.
Life is ubiquitous, everywhere but distinctive, traveling, but here. Tired, but ready for
more, and because of that, the years that arrive and go teach it one word—thankful.
