For me, I love the taste of a creamy French cheese, the smell of hydrangeas, the touch of soft grass under my bare feet, the sight of my to-do list with every item checked off, and the sound of a champagne cork popping. The buttery, sweet flavor of a Camembert transports me to my honeymoon in Paris and my newlywed bliss. The honey-vanilla aroma of hydrangeas and plush grass remind me of running around the backyard of my childhood home. Crossing off every item on my to-do list prompts feelings of accomplishment, and the "plop!" of a champagne bottle opening floods memories of celebrations surrounded by friends and family. These are the small things that bring me happiness, contentment, and joy. They positively influence my emotions, productivity, and well-being. However, I know that happiness is different for everyone. There are infinite ways to define and achieve it. Whether it's a sense of success, a feeling of comfort, or a rush of excitement, we wanted to explore and celebrate every facet of happiness. In a season and time when light shines brighter, we thought it was only appropriate to dedicate this issue to just that: happiness. Within these pages, you'll discover how to make your home your happy place (P. 20), uplifting podcasts to add to your queue (P. 8), tips for boosting community morale (P. 33), and a list of the happiest cities to visit (P. 10). There's also a cheerful coloring page (P. 5) and mocktail recipes for your next happy hour (P. 6). Thank you for taking the time to read our "happy issue." We're glad you're here, and hope our stories put a smile on your face. T 4
