s an introvert, it's easy for me to stay home, hidden away from the outside world, curled up on the couch with a good book. And while I enjoy being alone, I know it's important to nurture relationships and spend quality time with friends and family. In fact, one of my resolutions for the year was to host more gatherings at my place. Today, I'm proud to say: mission accomplished! I hosted everything from pasta nights and book clubs to brunches and birthday barbecues. I fell in love with facilitating these get-togethers and learned that entertaining is truly an art form. All the moving parts, like planning, decorating, grocery shopping, and cooking, can be hectic, but creating a space where people can have fun, feel welcome, and connect is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. As the days get darker and the weather gets colder, finding warmth and comfort in those around us is more vital than ever. That's why I encourage you to embrace the joy of hosting and entertaining this season. In this issue of Coming Home, we want to offer the tools and tips you need to celebrate more cheerfully. In the coming pages, we're featuring a complete holiday event handbook (P. 14), festive appetizer recipes (P. 22), and the best songs to start a party (P. 28). We're also sharing how to give a memorable toast (P. 29), card games to play at your next game night (P. 26), steps to making a stylish bed for guests (P. 8), and much more. Thank you for reading Coming Home. We hope this issue inspires your inner host or hostess and motivates you to make unforgettable memories with the people you love.
