Communities will go remote. Remote management is a hot trend that's quickly gaining traction. Community associations are more tech-savvy than ever before—and it's a good thing. You'll experience continued use of virtual platforms for board meetings and community events, encouraging participation and flexibility. The integration of remote monitoring systems for security and maintenance is really taking off, too. Communities will become more inclusive and fun. Community associations are one of the fastest-growing housing models in North America. Attracting residents from all age groups and backgrounds, communities are much more diverse. In 2025, communities will offer programs and events to engage a wide range of residents and foster a sense of togetherness. Similarly, communities will become more inclusive, making enhancements so facilities are accessible to residents with disabilities. Health and wellness will be a focus. The focus on health and wellness is here to stay, and residents are calling for amenities that promote well-being. Feel-good features, such as fitness centers, green spaces, and wellness programs, are at the top of residents' want lists, and communities are taking note. Pushing personalization, communities are modifying services and amenities to meet the specific needs and preferences of their residents. Common areas are being modified to do it all. The design of common areas is shifting to be more multipurpose. With reserve funds and studies such a hot topic in state capitols, building or modifying common areas to be a multipurpose space—used for events, remote work, and recreational activities—can serve to be a great financial move for some communities in the years to come.
