PICKLEBALL
Tournament
Organize a weekend pickleball tournament
for some friendly competition. This
straightforward sport combines elements of
tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, and is easy
for players of all skill levels to learn. Whether
you're playing singles or doubles, the game's
easy: hit the ball over the net and into the
opposing team's side of the court without letting
it bounce twice. Transform your outdoor space
into a prime pickleball court by:
• Choosing a flat concrete or asphalt surface
for play (ideally 20x44 feet).
• Using tape or chalk to mark boundaries and
the net line.
• Purchasing a pickleball net or substituting a
volleyball or tennis net.
• Placing chairs along the sidelines for
spectators and coolers filled with drinks.
A game of pickleball can rouse team spirit with
a hint of rivalry, allowing neighbors to bond over
every serve, volley, and victory.
