14 COMING HOME MAGAZINE PASS THE TIME Get ready for a heart-warming story in the coldest place on Earth. As the highest-grossing nature documentary of all time, March of the Penguins trails thousands of web-footed walkers on their miles-long annual breeding migration in Antarctica. Morgan Freeman's narration, combined with the awe- inspiring scenery, will keep you captivated as you watch parent penguins protect their eggs, forage for food, and bring new life into the world under the harshest, most dangerous conditions. March of the Penguins (2005) Journey into the jungle with this Disneynature doc narrated by Tina Fey. Monkey Kingdom follows Maya, a monkey from the lower echelons of her tribe's social class, who lives among a group of primates in the ancient ruins of Sri Lanka. This visually stunning setting is the backdrop for Maya's fight to love, safeguard a newborn, secure her home, and raise her status. Will she get the same happy ending as so many Disney animals? You'll have to watch to find out! Monkey Kingdom (2015) In the BBC's Blue Planet series, Sir David Attenborough highlights bustling coasts, coral reefs, icy polar seas, and everything in between. Marine life takes center stage across seven episodes, with beautiful images of fish, whales, squid, sharks, and more captured over four years of footage. Capped off with an episode covering human impact on the oceans, viewers will walk away with a renewed sense of care for the sea and the fragile life within it. Blue Planet II (2017) Shot in black-and-white without narration or music, Gunda is a unique showcase of rural farm life, seen through the eyes of a mama pig and her piglets. You'll get an unfiltered peek at their quiet routines and thoughtful interactions with fellow companions (cows and an unforgettable, one-legged chicken). With only natural sights and sounds carrying the film, your understanding and appreciation of these crucial creatures is sure to deepen.
